1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VantEdge (“the Service”, “we”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and any other person who accesses or uses the Service.

2. Description of Service

VantEdge is an online software platform that provides financial education and investment research tools only. The Service includes:

  • Portfolio Tracking & Analysis: tools to track holdings you enter yourself, compute returns, realised and unrealised gains, short-term and long-term capital gains, and generate informational portfolio health scores and signals.
  • Stock Research: live and delayed quotes, charts, and fundamental data for Indian (NSE/BSE) and US equities.
  • Watchlists: personalised lists to monitor stocks you choose to research.
  • Social Features: the ability to follow other users’ public portfolios for educational and informational purposes.
  • Educational Content: blog articles and structured courses on investing and personal finance.

This platform provides financial education and research tools only. Nothing on this platform constitutes investment advice, stock recommendations, or portfolio management services. The Service does not execute trades on your behalf and does not provide personalised investment advice. Users are responsible for their own investment decisions.

3. Investment Disclaimer

We are not a SEBI-registered investment advisor, research analyst, or portfolio manager, nor are we a broker-dealer or financial planner. We do not provide investment advice, stock tips, or SEBI-regulated services.

All content, signals, scores, metrics, analysis notes, and information provided through the Service, including but not limited to Positive/Neutral/Cautious signals, VantEdge Score, sector allocation insights, and risk metrics (Beta, Sharpe Ratio, volatility), are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any other type of advice, and should not be relied upon for making investment decisions.

Past performance data shown on the platform does not guarantee future results. Stock markets involve substantial risk of loss. You should conduct your own independent research and, where appropriate, consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser (for Indian markets) or a licensed financial professional (for US markets) before making any investment decisions.

4. Market Data and Accuracy

Market prices, quotes, and financial data displayed on VantEdge are sourced from third-party data providers (including but not limited to Yahoo Finance). This data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. VantEdge makes no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of any market data.

You acknowledge that you will not rely solely on VantEdge data for time-sensitive trading decisions, and that VantEdge bears no liability for losses arising from data inaccuracies or delays.

5. Automated Analysis

VantEdge uses proprietary, deterministic methods, with no artificial intelligence or machine learning in the loop, to generate portfolio scores, risk signals, and analysis notes. These outputs are generated automatically and have not been reviewed by a licensed financial professional. They rely on predefined methods and third-party market data, which may contain errors or fail to reflect current market conditions. All automated content must be treated as a starting point for your own research, not as a definitive assessment.

6. User Accounts

To access certain features you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe are being used for fraudulent or harmful purposes.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the portfolio data, watchlists, and other content you create on VantEdge (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant VantEdge a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter (e.g., transaction prices, quantities, dates). VantEdge will not verify your inputs and computations (including tax summaries) are only as accurate as the data you provide.

8. Public Portfolios

If you make a portfolio public, it becomes visible to all VantEdge users and may appear in discovery features. Other users may follow your public portfolio and view its holdings and analysis. You can revert a portfolio to private at any time, after which it will no longer be discoverable, though previously cached views may persist briefly.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations (including SEBI regulations).
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without prior written consent.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems.
  • Transmit any malicious code, viruses, or disruptive content.
  • Use the Service to spread false or misleading financial information.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.

10. Intellectual Property

All software, design, algorithms, brand assets, and original content on VantEdge (excluding User Content and third-party market data) are the intellectual property of VantEdge and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.

11. Privacy and Data Collection

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of information as described there.

If you sign in using a third-party provider (Google or X/Twitter), that provider shares certain profile data with us, specifically your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this data solely to create and maintain your VantEdge account. We also receive OAuth tokens from these providers, which are used only to keep your session active and are never used to access your emails, posts, or other account data.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VantEdge and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or investment losses, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, even if VantEdge has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

15. Subscriptions, Billing and Refunds

VantEdge offers optional paid subscription plans billed monthly or yearly through our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation stops future renewals and your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
